Last night for our "Around the World Date Night" we headed out to The Havana Cafe in Scottsdale for some Cuban food.
Boy oh boy, it did not disappoint.
The last time we had Cuban food we were in Miami, Florida, so we were a little skeptical of finding something that could measure up here in town. I think this was every bit as good!
I had the Pollo Cubano- citrus marinated chicken with caramelized onions, rice and beans.
We both had Maduros- fried sweet plantains.
Lee had the Masas do Puerco Fritas- Pork with mojo-garlic lime sauce.
(Three cheers for mojo sauce!)
Dessert? Of course. I had the mini caramel flan.
Lee had the Pudin de Pan con Chocolate- chocolate chip bread pudding.
The food was terrific, the service was great, and the live music was beautiful.
We'll definitely be back!
