Paris. The Arc de Triomphe & Champs Elysees

Lee and I, along with Dave and Debra, and Jeff , left Leuven at 5:30 in the morning for our trip to Paris. The drive was about 3 hours, most of which was in the dark. We arrived in the city, parked the car and set off down the street to see the Arc de Triomphe. This is one of my favorite sights in Paris, and even in the rain it did not disappoint!

I love this barricade that runs around the arc.

We also walked the famous Avenue des Champs Elysees.

The streets and the buildings are stunning.

I don't know why, but I have a fascination with Paris's cafe chairs,

and street lights,

and vespa's.

Much more of Paris to come!
