San Francisco, Part 2

When we travel to big cities, we usually rely on public transportation. On this trip, however, Lee's work paid for a rental car, so we drove all through the city, including over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito.

I drove down some of the steepest streets I'd ever seen. at one point I wasn't sure the brakes would hold. But for a view like this of Coit Tower, it was worth it.

I also drove us down Lombard Street, the most crooked in the world.

You can't go to San Francisco without eating Sourdough bread.

And without buying some to take home.

Our last stop of the day was downtown Union Square and Chinatown.

We wanted some authentic Chinese food, so we stopped at the House of Nanking, on the recommendation of a friend.

It did not disappoint!

After walking, eating, and shopping our way through town, we hit the road and headed back to the hotel.
Tomorrow.....Monterey.
