Sanding

 

I have a coffee table in my front room that I've had for years- at least 10, and while I still like it, I was tired of the dark, shiny stain on it. It was also pretty chipped and scratched, and in need of some TLC.

 

So yesterday I broke out the sander and spent a good part of the day sanding it down to bare wood.

 

It was much more labor intensive then I had expected.

 

Here it is sanded and ready for new stain.

I'm keeping the painted body of it the same, and plan to stain the top a dark gray.

I'm also considering replacing the feet with some chunky casters.
